They carry out security operations in Guacoche

After a Security Council held in Guacoche, municipality of Valledupar, together with the Rural Police Inspector, Ombudsman’s Office, Army, National Police and residents of the area, an operational roadmap was drawn up, with a view to counteracting criminal acts, safeguard the life and well-being of citizens; who claimed to reinforce security.

According to the Municipal Government Secretariat, the intervention, which began in Guacoche and ended in Guacochito, was based on the application of Law 1801 and had a wide institutional deployment: Colombia Migration, Public Space Unit, ICBF, police and military authorities . This made it possible to visit commercial establishments, in order to review the documentation that enables their operation. Likewise, background checks, registration of people, immigration control and surveillance on irregular roads (trails) were carried out; one of the aspects that requires greater attention, according to residents.

In this regard, Lieutenant Colonel Wilson Álvarez, Operational Commander of the Cesar Police Department highlighted: “We maintained an approach with the community, listening to the complaints that afflict them due to acts of insecurity. It is positive to take into account that they accepted the National Police with great benevolence in these sectors, where we encourage people to report any criminal incident.”
