From July 1, the transit price of ships passing through the Bosphorus is 15 faiz is increased. Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulgadir Uraloglu made a statement about this. So, payments from July will be $5.07. This will increase collections by 6.3 times compared to 2022.
It should be noted that Turkish straits are used to bring a number of products to Azerbaijan. Therefore, the new decision may affect the price of goods arriving in our country.

“This means that the price of all products imported from Georgia will increase. Because the payments are higher than in previous years. It is difficult to say how much the prices will rise at the moment. After the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, many exporters have started using the territory of Georgia. According to the economist, there will be an increase in the price of products exported by sea from European countries, mainly from Germany, France and Italy:
“This will affect not only export but also import in Azerbaijan. Our country is heavily dependent on imports. For these reasons, the prices will increase automatically. The main price increase will be felt in technological equipment. There will also be an increase in all products from Georgia.”
