The proceedings of the criminal case against Rasim Vasif oglu Khankishiyev, born in 2013, who went missing in Imishli on December 26 last year and is believed to have drowned in the Boztepe canal, were transferred from the district prosecutor’s office to the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Publika.az reports that this was reported to APA by the legal representative of the victim Vasif Khankishiyev (the minor’s father), human rights defender Samir Zeynalov. According to him, Khankishiyev Rasim Vasif oghlu disappeared on December 26, 2023 in Garaguvendikli village of Imishli district under mysterious circumstances. were:

“The Prosecutor General personally received me and the person I represented, that is, Rasim’s father. Our specific request from the Prosecutor General was that the proceedings of the criminal case be transferred from the Imishli District Prosecutor’s Office to the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Considering the fact that the incident took place in non-obvious circumstances, our request was reasonable. Thus, our request was positively assessed by the Prosecutor General. Proceedings of the criminal case will continue in the Investigative Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office. Therefore, we express our gratitude to the Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev.

According to him, the process of searching for the minor is being continued with high intensity.
