On the afternoon of August 26, the 15th National Assembly passed a Resolution on approving the appointment of a Deputy Prime Minister with 432/432 National Assembly deputies present in favor (accounting for 89.91% of the total number of National Assembly deputies).
Three personnel were approved for appointment as Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term, including: Politburo member Nguyen Hoa Binh, Central Committee member and Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc and Central Committee member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.
After the reorganization, the Government leadership apparatus includes Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and 5 Deputy Prime Ministers: Nguyen Hoa Binh, Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Ho Duc Phoc and Bui Thanh Son.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh Born in 1958, from Quang Ngai, is a Professor, Doctor of Law.
He is a member of the 13th Politburo; Secretary of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee (from April 2021); member of the 11th, 12th and 13th Party Central Committee and a National Assembly delegate of the 13th, 14th and 15th terms.
After studying at Hai Phong Police College and then People’s Security University, Mr. Binh started working at Tam Ky District Police (Quang Nam Province) as Office Captain, then Deputy Office Chief, Deputy Head of Scientific Research Department of Quang Nam – Da Nang Provincial Police.

Mr. Binh also gradually experienced and held many important positions in the police force such as: Deputy Head and then Head of the Department of Industrial Crime Prevention – Economic Police Department (C15); Deputy Director and then Director of Department C15; Deputy Director General, Deputy Head of the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security.
In early 2006, Mr. Binh held the position of Deputy Director General of the General Department of Police, Ministry of Public Security, concurrently Director of the Department of Investigation Police for Corruption Cases; Deputy Head of the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2007.
A year later, he was transferred to work locally as Deputy Secretary and then Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee and held this position for 3 years.
In July 2011, the 13th National Assembly elected Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh as Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Procuracy. After one term in this position, Mr. Binh assumed the position of Chief Justice of the People’s Court and has held this position ever since.
Mr. Ho Duc Phuc Born in 1963, from Nghe An. He is a Doctor of Economics, a member of the Party Central Committee, 12th and 13th terms, and a delegate to the National Assembly, 14th and 15th terms.
