According to the well-known television channel Discovery regarding research on human history and development, the first building built with stones in human civilization was built in the ancient city of Al-Ala in Saudi Arabia.

The channel’s team of history experts revealed this in a documentary on the historical importance of the Arabian region, ‘The Architect of Ancient Arabia’.

The team’s research has changed the global understanding of the history of the Arab region.

Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award winner Jeremy Irons has been chosen to narrate the background of this research. The documentary also includes new historical secrets from Saudi archaeologists and historians about the area that have not been revealed before.

During the documentary, thousands of locations in the region were also recorded with the help of modern technology to add a new chapter in the history of human civilization by connecting different pieces of human history.

Al-Ula is a vast oasis in the northwestern region of Saudi Arabia. This region has been a travel and residential center of the region during the three thousand year old civilizations.
