JAKARTA – A subsidiary of PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM), PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Logistics), is participating in the 2024 Indonesia Coal Summit (ICS). This participation is the company’s support for the government and associations that focus on making coal a business sector that contributes to the national economy.

The event, themed “The Resilience of Coal: Powering a Sustainable Future,” discussed coal resilience while supporting sustainable businesses to improve a clean environment in the future. Not only does it contribute directly to the national economy, the coal sector also plays a major role in non-tax state revenues (PNBP), community development and empowerment programs (PPM), and workforce absorption.

“CKB Logistics as a company that provides supply chain solutions for the mining industry, of course appreciates and continues to be committed to creating a sustainable business. Hopefully this event will make all parties, especially CKB Logistics, continue to grow and support the national economy,” said CKB Logistics Chief Executive Officer Iman Sjafei in his statement, Monday (1/7/2024).

ICS 2024 is supported by the Indonesia Mining Association (IMA), the Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI), the Indonesian Mining Experts Association (Perhapi) PD East Kalimantan and the East Kalimantan Mining Technical Head Forum (FKTT), companies and other stakeholders. In addition to being a meeting place for business stakeholders, the event also discussed the issue of coal resilience for a sustainable future.

Iman hopes that this activity can provide opportunities and answer the challenges of the sustainable coal mining industry in the future. As a company that focuses on logistics, he said, CKB Logistics is committed to supporting sustainable business. “By carrying the spirit of ‘Connecting the Nation’ CKB, which was established in 1997, has provided business and increased the distribution of logistics to remote areas,” he said.

Iman added, the company is also actively developing end-to-end solutions that refer to customer needs by expanding and prioritizing security standards. “This is what differentiates CKB Logistics’ business from other logistics companies,” he explained.

On the same occasion, Samarinda Mayor Andi Harun said that ICS is a meeting place for mining business stakeholders and stakeholders to discuss current issues. He also hopes that this activity can be a place to gather, share, and discuss in order to produce better mining practices.

“We welcome and appreciate all parties for taking the time to gather together to discuss sustainable business. It is hoped that after this event, we can all continue to be active and consistent in developing sustainable business, so that it can contribute to state revenue,” he said.
