Plane wing dented after hitting a lighting pole at Tan Son Nhat airport

An Eva Air plane was taxiing onto the runway at Tan Son Nhat airport to prepare for takeoff when it crashed into a light pole, causing part of the plane’s wing to be dented.

The aviation incident occurred on the afternoon of July 3, at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, the Boeing 777 with flight number EVA396 is scheduled to depart at 4:34 p.m. the same day from Tan Son Nhat to Taiwan (China).

While moving to the runway at Tan Son Nhat airport to prepare for takeoff, an accident occurred and the plane crashed into a lighting pole.

The incident caused part of the plane’s wing to be dented and a high-pressure lamp post to collapse.

Immediately after that, Tan Son Nhat International Airport and related units quickly coordinated to handle the situation. Fortunately, all passengers on the plane were safe.

The Southern Airports Authority also recorded and promptly reported the incident to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.

The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
