Turkey is fighting forest fires in all its regions.

Publika.az reports that relevant bodies of all institutions of the country have been mobilized to the incident areas.

In accordance with the order of President Ilham Aliyev, the “BE-200ÇS” type amphibious aircraft of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERG) aviation unit has also arrived in Turkey to support extinguishing works in Izmir, one of the regions where the most severe fires occurred.

In the provinces of Izmir, Aydın, Bolu, Manisa, Karabük and Ushak, helicopters were also involved in the fight against fires. Starting from the morning, fire fighting measures were intensified in eight regions of six provinces.

Turkey’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumaklı said in his latest statement that except for Aydın province, the severity of the fire has decreased relatively, but there may be changes due to the influence of the wind.

It was reported that the fire in Aydın continues along a nine-kilometer line in the southern and northern parts of the province. 7 airplanes, 15 helicopters, a large number of equipment and about 370 personnel were involved in extinguishing the fires here. 3 planes, 15 helicopters, a large number of equipment and manpower are involved in extinguishing the fires in Izmir.

The fight against forest fires continues in Manisa province of the country. The firefighting operations carried out by land throughout the night are supported by aviation equipment from the morning hours. Currently, 7 helicopters are operating in the region.

The situation is the same in Bolu province. In addition to Bolu, air vehicles from surrounding provinces were involved in extinguishing the fire that started in the densely forested area. In the region, 12 helicopters, many fire engines and about 1,500 personnel are fighting the fire.

Seven people were detained in connection with the fires across the country, two of them were arrested.

So far, 3971 people have been evacuated from the fire areas.
