Gaza operation nearing completion, Netanyahu says

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the operation in the Gaza Strip has entered its final phase, Liter.kz reports with reference to Bild.

In his speech on Monday, he noted that the operation had achieved significant success and was continuing to gain momentum.

According to the prime minister, Israel is nearing the end of the phase dedicated to dismantling the Hamas terrorist army, and stressed that the fight will continue until the threat is completely eliminated.

“We are at a stage where we can confidently speak of significant progress in the operation. The main focus is on destroying the last major Hamas fighting units,” Netanyahu said.

He also noted that special attention is being paid to the situation in Rafah on the border with Egypt, where the offensive continues with the aim of eliminating the remaining large groups.

In his address, Netanyahu assured that Israel will continue its efforts to neutralize the threat, despite the difficult conditions and the length of the operation. The prime minister also added that Israel will closely monitor and eliminate any residual elements of terrorist groups in order to ensure long-term security and stability in the region.

The operation in Gaza began several months ago in response to increasing attacks by Hamas, and has since attracted international attention. The Israeli army has reported significant success in combating terrorist elements, but the ongoing operation has also raised concerns about the humanitarian situation in the region.

Earlier, Kazakhstan supported the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
