The court in Blansko divorced the well-known couple on July 30 this year. The crisis in their marriage began last September, when Eva and Vašek refused to fly to their house in Florida. “In America, apparently also under the influence of various advisers, she came to the opinion that she no longer needed me at all. That she is a solo singer and should cut herself off from me completely. She let me know that time would tell her how to change her mind. Around Christmas, it was already clear to me that there would be a divorce,” Vašek told us.
Debate with family
He discussed the whole situation with his son from his first marriage. “And then I offered her to write down what she wanted to be hers. And so we also split up. She got everything that generates assets, including a house in Florida and appliances,” he confided to us honestly.
He did not want to argue with his wife in court. “That otherwise lawyers will cost us unnecessary and considerable extra money. So the main question in our divorce was which of us would file the petition. And it was Eve who wanted freedom. I would never leave my family,” concludes Vašek Ševčík.

Offer into politics
Vašek wants to continue to devote himself to music. “And I also got an offer that I’m considering. Helping us with our many years of experience from the world in our politics,” he added. Previously, Vašek supported the SPD in the elections. From his marriage to Eva, he has a daughter, Evička, who lives and studies in America and will be twenty-one this year. This is the age of majority in the United States. “We are still in touch, but I feel a certain alienation. And I know very well that I will never look at America again.”
