Azerbaijan has repeatedly demonstrated its commitment to long-term peace with Armenia. We expect a similar position from Yerevan.
Publika.az reports that the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said this at a briefing on the results of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Ankara.
The Turkish leader assured that Ankara will continue to make maximum contribution to achieving long-term peace between Baku and Yerevan.
“Turkey has supported and supports the position of Azerbaijan,” said the President of Turkey.
At the same time, the politician expressed his satisfaction with the agreement to return 4 villages occupied by Armenia to Azerbaijan.
The head of state of Turkey highly appreciated the level of relations with Azerbaijan and mentioned the construction project of “Azerbaijan” quarter in Kahramanmaras city of Turkey, which was affected by the earthquake, as an example. “The houses built in Kahramanmaraş are another symbol of the unbreakable bonds of brotherhood between our countries,” said the President of Turkey.
