The municipal administrator of Cacuaco, Carlos Alberto Cavuquila, started today Monday (22), a campaign to distribute mosquito nets to the inhabitants of the same municipality, where 9 thousand mosquito nets impregnated with insecticides will be distributed, with the aim of reducing rates of malaria that are registered in the district.
The person responsible for the activity, Alice dos Santos, attached to the municipal health department of Cacuaco, said that the division, which will also cover the commune of Funda, focuses on communities that reside in areas with the highest mosquito breeding.
The program also includes intra- and extra-household fumigation, distribution of mini-doses of bactivec, as well as the placement of biological products in ditches to treat them.
The district’s municipal administrator, Carlos Cavuquila, called on beneficiaries to put into practice individual and collective hygiene rules to prevent mosquitoes from breeding in the areas where they live.
