The organizing committee of the Bahrain Local Production Championship has intensified its efforts to prepare for the launch of the championship competitions, which are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, which includes competitions in the first round of the Emirates World Cup for Arabian Horses in the East. Middle East, from March 14 to 16, at the Al-Ittihad Military Sports Field at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Al-Rafah.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Championship Organizing Committee, Mr. Abdullah Al-Mudahka, expressed his appreciation and great gratitude for the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the championship, stressing that His Highness’s patronage reflects the keenness and interest of His Highness to support all activities and events of equestrian sports in general and the sport of Arabian horse beauty in particular. Through which we achieve the preservation of this authentic heritage that characterizes the Kingdom of Bahrain throughout its ancient history.

He praised the great efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Royal Bahraini Equestrian and Endurance Racing Federation, in supporting and following up on all activities and events organized by the Federation, which contributed to the implementation of plans and programs in order to continue efforts in developing this sport, in accordance with the vision drawn up by His Highness. Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa derived it from the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, which are based on preserving this national heritage in equestrian sports, especially in the sport of horse camels.

He said: “The Bahrain Local Production Championship is one of the most important championships organized by the federation to encourage stables and owners to compete in production. The benefit of the owners participating in the previous Bahrain National Championship during the current season was taken into account, in order to prepare their horses to participate in this championship.”

He added that this tournament will be attended by 151 Arabian horses and will be organized in accordance with the rules of the European Arabian Horse Organization (ECAHO). Eight referees and four members of the Disciplinary Committee will participate in managing the tournament, in addition to three arena managers accredited to the European Organization. The first day will be devoted to the qualifying categories for the finals for one-year-old fillies, fillies two to three years old, and mares four years old and above. On the second day, the qualifying categories for colts aged one year, colts aged two to three years, and stallions aged four years and above. On the third and closing day, tournaments will be held for the various participating groups.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Bahrain Local Production Championship praised the support of the partners and sponsors of the tournament, which are: the strategic partner, Bapco Energies, the official sponsors, Bahrain Building Company and GFH Financial Group, the platinum sponsor, Al-Naml Group, the gold sponsor, Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), and the silver sponsors, the Economic Development Board. Bahrain and the Arabian Horse Company for Equestrian Services, and the bronze sponsors are the Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company (GPIC), the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and the Al Safwa Veterinary Services Company, calling at the same time the fans and enthusiasts of horse camel sports to attend the championship competitions.
